On July 18th, Ellis was surrounded by family and friends as he was baptized into the Church. Baptism is a sacrament, a visible sign of grace. Sacraments point us to what is sacred. I cannot imagine a more beautiful picture of God's sacred grace than our sweet boy's baptism. The grace of family and community. The grace of new life entrusted to us. The grace of receiving what we could never deserve. The grace of love overflowing, giving us a tiny taste of the love our Father has for us.
Baptism is intended to be the first step in a lifelong journey of faith. May it be so for Ellis, and by God's grace may we be helpful stewards along the way.

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not be swept away. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor will flames consume you." Isaiah 43: 1-2
